I didn't use the bathroom but the rest of the place looked clean and well kept. We ate here on our second day after moving to Boquete and were pleased with the location. The balcony seating is above tropical foliage and the backdrop of the mountains cupping Boquete were a perfect setting for dinner. The menu starts with a interesting history behind the restaurant. Mostly meat and a wonderful choice of seafood with not much for vegetarian palate but what they did have was very tasty. Lynette ordered the $6.95 Yuca a la Huancaina which is an amazing cream sauce unlike either of us had every had before! I had the $11.95 Sopa de Mariscos de la Casa (the house seafood chowder) packed with everything I wanted and jacked up with a zipping soup base. This was exactly what I envisioned and expected. We will come back.
Nicely presented shared appetizer plate. 5 stars for that. Both main dishes from chef specialties page (stuffed tenderloin and sea bass with lobster in wine sauce) were too salty. Tenderlion wasn't really the tenderloin cut, chewy and hard. The Sea bass was swimming in even saltier sauce. 2 stars for those. Perhaps it is possible to request less salt but it was too late for us. The total came to almost $70.. The food wasn't worth it.
Best Peruvian in Panama. Loved the different ceviches. Highly recommend. Came here three times on our short trip.
We had 1 house soup and grilled octopus, the seafood was extremely overcooked and gummy , felt it was not fresh at all, the tomato based cream of the soup didn't soaked the flavors of the ingredients. The octopus was a really small dish and compared to it price, felt unbalanced and was completely burned. Atmosphere - none , there is a tv open on talkshows...
Great place, friendly and professional service. Fish dishes were great as was the fresh cerviche If a restaurant has beef heart on the menu try it. I did and it was tender tasty and satisfying. Pisco Sours were, multiple yes, were tasty, and the Sangria excellent. So do visit if you are in Boquete.
