My 200h Yoga Teacher Training at YiA Yoga has been a wonderful experience that opened me up to live a more authentic life. Kathrine & Doris are both highly skilled and deeply empathic teachers, who create a safe environment for personal growth. The training goes deep into and also way beyond the practice of postures, and I left feeling empowered to share Yoga! I am forever grateful to be a part of the YiA Yoga family .
Katherine Sophia is an outstanding transformational teacher. She holds space in a safe and completely non-judgmental way, she guides the group with an open heart and deep understanding of what happens in our inner journeys and she effectively challenges with compassion and purpose. Signing up with Katherine Sophia is signing up to an inner journey of profound transformation which leads in big steps to the authentic core of your inner Self. I highly recommend Yia Yoga.
I've participated in several of Kaytee's teacher trainings in Panama and Bali. I am always impressed with how much personal growth I achieve during these trainings. Kaytee takes the time to get to know each of her students one-on-one and then is flexible with her teaching style so that each person gets exactly what they need to dive deep into themselves and have a transformational experience. I hope you are blessed with the opportunity to experience Kaytee's love, care, and wisdom firsthand. ✨❤️????????
YiA Yoga studio is a wonderful setting. It is simple and clean with an abundance of Yoga accessories available to modify the practice for all levels of ability. Set on the grounds of the Villas de San Miguel one steps into the alternate Universe of Paradise. In the studio one can hear the tranquil sound of flowing water in the ornamental fountains just outside the windows. And before or after class, one can lounge in the hammocks and have a supportive conversation with Pepé (the Yellow Crowned parrot) who will tell you "you're alright, you're O.K." as well as laugh along with you, at yourself and/or the ironies of life. Katie is a long-time resident of the Boquete community. She shares her world view with those around her and continues the practice of being both a teacher and a student of life. Katie has provided the opportunity for Doris and Stephanie (guides of Yoga practice) to share their experiences of Yoga with the greater community. YiA Yoga offers various times and days for those who are looking to share their practice. Mornings or evenings, Monday through Saturday, including a day of "chair Yoga". Such an open-minded view that looks beyond the limitations of the body, truly encompasses the philosophy behind Yoga that it is a Spiritual practice to find balance in one's life. My light is continually guided by Stephanie. She is young and wise beyond her years. She offers bilingual instructions and it is a joy to practice the yoking of oneself multi-culturally as well as with Spirit. Stephanie is catapulted with enthusiasm for Yoga with practitioner feedback. Time spent with her spans from focused breathing (pranayama), to manipulation of the body (asanas), to the meditative absorption (dhyana) during shavasana with focused concentration (dharana) occurring throughout the practice. It also includes vibrational healing through the musical pieces selected and participatory chanting (not to mention the water, wind, and wildlife). There is also the tactile stimulation with massage. It is not possible to leave YiA Yoga in anything but a lifted state. Om Shanti, Shanti Shanti, Namaste
This was my first time doing Yoga and the experience was very nice. It was relaxing but also challenging sometimes and they would adapt each exercice to your personal needs, which was very helpfull. The teachers were also very attentive to your needs and clear while explaining the poses. It was an incredible experience and I would definitly recommand.
