    Best Food in Boquete Panama!! We have eaten at Mesa Azul in Boquete Panama several times and the food has always been unbelievable. Chef Chris Young continually creates an exciting menu to satisfy the tastes of everyone. He only uses the freshest meats, seafood, fruits and vegetables, sourced from local vendors, to bring out the flavors of each dish and the presentation is a work of art. The bar creates delicious cocktails of all types including, the Chocolate Margarita, which is a must try for chocolate lovers. The restaurant has great ambiance and creates a relaxing atmosphere to meet friends, have a great meal and occasionally listen to live music from local bands. Chef Chris also owns several other restaurants in Boquete and they all have the same high quality of food!! Mesa Azul will leave you with an experience you won’t soon forget!! Kim and Dave

    Excellent: food, service, ambiance and value. Chef is talented with seasonings, foods and textures - beautiful results. The wait-staff are all courteous and helpful. The ambiance is calm and pleasant. I highly recommend stopping in for an extraordinary dining experience.

    We enjoyed an excellent evening at Mesa Azul. The atmosphere is always terrific with the beautiful atmosphere of the covered garden patio, rain or shine. But, the new menu of Panamanian entrees with local ingredients is fresh and delightful. The dinner salad was fresh and crisp with a very light dressing and the trout with vegetables and coconut rice was the best we've enjoyed in our 14 years in Panama. The service was top notch, Mario is professional, attentive and very cheerful. Mesa Azul manager, Alexandra was ever present, always with a delightful smile. Mesa Azul is not to be missed for anyone looking for a top notch dining experience in Boquete.

    The carpaccio starter was excellent. However the mains were underwhelming - the trout was overdone and a bit dry. The ribs were just ok and an extremely large portion so probably best shared.

    Chef Chris Young has great imagination, courage and expertise! His culinary offerings have never disappointed me and I look forward to many more interesting adventures that he will surely offer.
